» FROM THE LAST ISSUE
Mississippi State University’s Perry Cafeteria has undergone several renovations and has even survived a fire. Throughout the years, the beautiful structure has remained as a haven for students in search of a home-cooked-style meal. The building was first constructed over 75 years ago to service students living in “The Old Main” dormitory. Today, it seats 650 and serves close to 3000 meals per weekday. It bears the name of a 1919 graduate,
George Perry, whose wife Jane made the 1997 renovations possible with a gracious gift. Serving á la carte breakfast and lunch and “all you can eat” dinners, Perry Cafeteria is home-away-from-home for many MSU residents. Thanks to all who entered and congratulations to our winners Donna and
Bill McLendon of Newton.
